Time has come for me to say good bye to my free time in New Zealand. I have arrived in Dunedin last Monday, after a super intense and amazing week in Australia. Since then I have organized all the uni stuff, settled in, found a slackline group and a board game group, signed up for Lindyhop dance classes and started reading about criminology and maori creation myths.
So, below are a few impressions of what we have done since the last post.
We visited the hot, steaming lakes in Rotorua trying not to get the foul egg smell stuck in our clothes.
We sat by the beach at sunset admiring the play of orange and red in the sky.
We sandboarded on the giant dunes near Cape Reigna - very exhausting.
We walked along the rocky cliffs near Blenheim, spotting Mermaids Hair from up top.
We came across a little mouse and named him our hiking companion.
We discovered the Auckland Lantern Festival, listening to Chinese Rock and watching the fireworks.
It feels like there are just too many things that happened during those 2 weeks, to write about them all.
Once classes have started you will get some more posts about uni life and recreation in Dunedin. Stay tuned!
